A concrete patio can come in many forms. Some are concrete which are covered over with tile, brick, stone or some other product.

Most patios are installed by concrete contractors or landscape contractors. Patios are not something a do it yourselfer should attempt due to the high physical demand and the fact that concrete is not that forgiving. Once it sets it is really difficult to fix any errors. The cost of removing a bad concrete job and redoing it is very expensive.

At Integrity we prep the concrete area by making sure there is a stable base on which to place the concrete. Concrete patios are only as good as their foundation. Rebar or other products can be installed to reduce the chances of cracking, especially when placed on expansive soils.

This is the time of year when your drains need to flow without obstructions. Make sure you do not have grass growing over the drainage inlets or outlets. It is also a good idea to run your garden hose down through your drainage with the water going to make sure you have good flow. Also keep watch to make sure you do not have bark or leaves blocking your drainage.
